wow... I saw someone else on another thread who got their NOA1 at the end of june and just got an interview notice for sept 16th.. I was thinking that I was probably not far from him since I got my NOA1 about 9-10 days after him... now I'm wondering if it even matters since you sent your paperwork in May... argh....

Gah! I was thinking K-1 - the fiancé visa -- that had them already interviewed once before arriving. I figured they had reason to be speedy since they already had a background clearance. :( I'm told by the person at USCIS I spoke with (tier 2) not to worry, but that doesn't help.

I have my EAD/AP so that is fine, but my passport expires soon and I don't love the idea of being here with an expired one. I'd hoped for the interview first so I could mail my application. I could go home to get it renewed but I don't love the idea of crossing with just AP. I got it in case an emergency happened.

Is the weather too nice here right now? Everyone is calling in sick to work???

Thank you. I've been in testing and interview for almost a month and still no change. Where was your interview? Seattle or Tukwila?

The Seattle USCIS Field Office is located in the the "new" DHS building in Tukwila. Bring cash for the parking, it isn't free.

http://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/washington-seattle-field-office#Filing%20Information%20and%20Case%20Status

Hope that you have a reasonable interview. We had a "murky" AOS interview in Nov. 2012. The IO was a bit of jerk. Though, it eventually worked out OK. Check our review.

Hoping we won't have an ROC interview, but que sera, sera.....

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thanks! I hope it goes smoothly. I'm a little grumpy it's taking so long to schedule my interview. We'd hoped to have the interview before September so my husband wouldn't need to take the day off work. Oh well.
