Hi everyone!

I have sent AOS and IV package to NVC and submitted DS-260 on 7/29/2014

My questions are:

1. How long will it take the NVC to review my package and schedule an interview date?

I know they have said 60 days, but anyone get case complete recently?

My consulate is Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates, I could not find many information or timelines of members who have gone there recently.

2. Do Iranian applicants go through AP (Administrative Processing) after the interview for CR1 visas?

If so how long will it take?

Is it possible to get the visa that same day or in a week after the interview?

Thank you

I'm counting the minutes!!

My wife's interview was a while ago and in Ankara, I am sure some of the processes have changed, so I cannot comment on that. I will say though that a lot of Iranians do go through AP. My wife did not, but we also had a 5 month wait from the IV package and setting the interview to the interview date. We ended up getting the visa 7 days after the interview. We stayed in Ankara during that time because the Embassy could not sent the visa to Iran and they had her passport during this time so she could not leave either way.

I do believe a woman is less likely to go to AP than a man. AP can take anywhere from a few weeks to almost a year. These times are from people that I personally know.

Good luck

Thank you ChuckM for that information.

I'm still waiting for case complete from NVC

I hope my husband's AP doesn't take long as he never worked in any governmental job as it is frowned upon I heard? And didn't do military service either...I'm just worried the AP at Abu Dhabi will take long as we have waited enough and it will be one year this October since we sent the I-130 application.

Hopefully just a week or less as I have no patience left at all for a long AP!

Waiting...................
