I filed a case with the USCIS Ombudsman today!

If you are experiencing delays and are fed up with the unfair disparate processing times between the two service centers than open a case.

Submitting a Request for Case Assistance

The Ombudsman is committed to reviewing all incoming requests for case assistance within 30 days, and taking action to resolve 90 percent of case-related inquiries submitted to the office within 90 days of receipt.

If you waited 60 days past USCIS processing times and have tried the USCIS customer service options listed above but still need help resolving a problem with an application or petition, you can ask the Ombudsman’s Office for help by taking the following steps:

Please submit all evidence or information regarding the efforts taken to first resolve the issue with USCIS.

How to Submit

Submit an electronic Form DHS-7001 through Ombudsman Case Assistance Online which provides a direct, paperless submission of requests for assistance to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman automatically assigns a case number once submission has been completed with an acknowledgement email sent to the e-mail address filled in on the form.

It's the DHS-7001 that you need to complete

I'm all for this as well, however I strongly believe nothing will be done about your specific case until at least 5 months has hit, or 5.5 months now since they decided to change it on the website. But it is worth a try. I know when I contacted both of my senators I was told to wait the 5 months and then call back for further inquiries even though my letter basically was to bring attention to the huge backlog and such and it's like they didn't even read my letter

I'm doing it it to call attention to the discrepancy in times between the 2 service centers so that we all can benefit as well. I agree that they won't due much until our times have reached the 5.5 mark. I wouldn't be surprised if they made it 6 months!

this is what i have stated on another topic about this.

instead of just TSC filers contacting the ombudsman. that is simply not enough

We need CSC filers to also contact. We need both Service Centers hand in hand to work together. No more separatiton. No more hard feelings.

To this day both California (CSC) Service Center and Texas (TSC) Service Center will now work as a team!

On a related note, similar thread with a sample letter:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/508457-lengthening-wait-times-letter/

The difference is that this is not a letter that will just get lost on it's way to Obama or a government official This is an official form to address our issues with the USCIS. But the letter too, should be sent. We also need to contact our officials in congress and senate as suggested before. We need to take action or things will not move along. It is not the first time this happens and when petitioners make noise things start to move forward. If we stand idle, they will just continue to do things the way they are doing them. The difference in wait time between the to Svc Center is just a kick in the nuts to me. It's disrespectful and inconsiderate.
