Acceptance

On July 24, 2014, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During the acceptance step USCIS reviews newly received applications and petitions to ensure that they are properly filed (i.e. signed by the applicant, appropriate fees, etc.) USCIS issues a receipt number for the application or petition, and sends a receipt notice to the applicant or petitioner.

The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received. With mail time it may take several weeks for you to get the receipt or rejection notice in the mail. If you do not receive your notice within 30 days of mailing your application, please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283

The thing is that the case still in Acceptance more than five days... Should I worry about that??? what should I do?? Thanks in advance

Mine is still acceptance stage though I sent my AoS package last month. Many people have experienced these situation and you shouldn't worried too much. In fact, some of members here that their status changed after got approval.

It will stay in acceptance until they adjudicate your file.

I called USCIS this week asking if I can expedite my I-765. But nothing to do with my status on USCIS website.

My NOA1 date was 5 Nov 2013 and it stayed in acceptance until 25 July, then it went to decision, then 6 days later card production, no RFE's, no interview

I called USCIS this week asking if I can expedite my I-765. But nothing to do with my status on USCIS website.

My wife's AOS stayed in acceptance mode it stayed in acceptance until 25 July,2014 then it went to decision, then 6 days later card production, RFE for 4 documents hand carried them to field office and 2 weeks later actual gc received, no interview
. I would not worry. She just got her actual GC today almost exactly 5 months to date of filing AOS.

Nothing to stop you working if you get EAD, should take around 2-3 months from application. I assume you sent it off with your AoS package

Nothing to worry about my case has been in acceptance for 2 months and recently changed to Testing & Interview. So do not need to call USCIS just wait patiently
