From what I know that is normal. Ceac will at least show AP for a while.

It did for our case too. It could have hardly been more than a few hours though. Then it said issued. So I wouldn't be too worried yet. In most cases that means they're printing it right now.

CEAC has had problems...the system crashed last weekend. The State Department is working on it. It may take a while. This has affected all embassies around the world. The system is operating at 1/2 speed right now. You should have received an email from the US Embassy explaining the problem and warning of possible delays.

ah, thanks. in your case, how long did you wait to get the "issued status" from the day you got "AP status"?

that does happen...and then you receive your visa anyway... :) although as for me, my visa packet was in my hands exactly 8 business days from my successful interview day, and i dont live in Manila, im from Davao City...so that was a short wait considering my location.

All visa applications go to AP, most times it is the final review of your application before the visa is issued. With the current computer glitch things could move slower than normal right now so be patient.

We've been 2 days in Ready (the pre-interview message), then we have an update in the date, but same message. Then it went to AP for a whole day, and then it changed to Issued.

Don't worry, it seems to be completly normal this AP business. Like someone said, it means they are working on your case, maybe last checking, printing, etc. It might take a little bit more than normal, because of the glitch, but the AP is just normal. :)
