Should I allow 2 days for the K-1 interview

My fiancee is scheduled to have her interview later this month. The interview was scheduled for 7:20am, so I would imagine that she is either the first or one of the first people being interviewed. Is there any reason (worst case scenario perhaps) that the interview could spill into a second day? Has anyone been required to come back a second day/time because the interviewer decided to check or look into something? The interview is a plane ride away from where she lives, so we're just trying to decide whether it's worth buying a second night in a hotel.

I've heard of a few (horror) stories of beneficaries being asked to return with their petitioners present, but this is inconsistent and might depend on individual consulate officers and/or internal policies. You can read more about that here:

Either way, a second interview would NOT be the next day after the first interview, so to answer your question, plan on spending one day at the consulate and then making a separate trip at a later date, if necessary. GOOD LUCK!

Honestly, I don't have any first hand experience in this.

However, it's to my knowledge (after reading lots of threads for the last couple months) that if there is anything missing they will advise you how to fix it so that your visa can be approved.

Most times people simply forget a document. In that case, they will tell you that you need to get the document and mail it to them so that they can complete your application.

I have never read of people having to return for a second interview. But, that could also all depend on the consulate processing the visa.

Please, anyone, correct me if I'm wrong.

The interview was scheduled for 7:20am, so I would imagine that she is either the first or one of the first people being interviewed.

They schedule a bunch of people for 7:20am, and then another group for 09:30am. People start to arrive at the consulate at 5-5:30am and then they form a line, so if you get there at 07:20am you might actually be at the end of the line and you'll have to wait a couple of hours until your interview.

She will get approved as long as she answer firmly the CO and if she has everything that they asked for!
