I was just reading that there is a "Walkin" way to file for EAD, has any one heard about that or have any idea how its done?

No such thing that I know of. You have to file the EAD application with your application to adjust status. If you have a job offer or financial hardship you can do an info pass appointment and request an expedited EAD after you have already filed.

where did you read that? never heard of it.

It may be walk-in biometrics? We sent off our AOS package in the beginning of July and we received our biometrics appointment on Friday. I did a walk-in on Monday successfully instead of waiting the 3+ weeks for the appointment.
