Hi all!

So we spoke to NVC yesterday, they said that they did receive our case!

When we asked them for the NVC case number they said that it will all be mailed to us within 2-3 weeks.

We also asked them to add our email into the system, but again he said that all the details will be mailed in 2-3 weeks..

Did this happen to anyone else?

Should I call them back on Monday and ask again? I figured, the sooner I get the case number, and give them our email the sooner I can pay for AoS and the DS-261?

That's odd. As the petitioner or beneficiary, you can give (or update) them your email address and contact number.

Even if you get your case number, it will still be NVC who'll give you access to CEAC. A mere log-in will not give you the ability to fill out the forms and pay the fees. You'll have to wait until it becomes available.

They don't want your email info until you have case#. When you call and they ask you know things are rolling. But there have been times when people have been able to give over email usually they are entered and things are just about to start for them.

So you can wait or call and see if you get different response.

What dwheels said is right. Until you get a case #, they will not take any email or other info from you. Also chances are they already have your email if it was provided in the original petition.
