Susan,

If you have not received the NOA1 and it's been a month. You may have your fiancé send the I-129F again. This time make sure he tracks it with a signature once picked up. I am sorry you two have not heard anything back!

This is fairly common. Using those other services to deliver wouldn't change the timing of the receipt of the NOA 1. He should receive it soon and I doubt the petition is lost. Keep in mind they get thousands of these per day which are received in a mail room where they are sorted and forwarded to the proper departments. Its also normal for people to worry their way thru this entire process which is why the stress levels are so high.

If he sends another petition he will need to send the fee again or that petition will be rejected as incomplete.

Of course his check will be cashed which indicates they have the case and that means your case is one of the millions they process every year. Keep this in mind as you monitor the time that case takes. This is why its a journey that takes time to complete.

A tracking number would help know the petition was received but has nothing to do with getting the NOA 1. That is issued after a human does the initial work of depositing the check ect.

Thank you Ning but how long should we wait?ive waited for many years to be with him am becoming impatient.

I am sorry to say no one can really answer that question. This entire process seems to take forever once we finally start the journey. We are ignorant of what this takes and the time involved before we begin which makes it seem even longer. We want to be with our loved one. We want to start out new life which is right in front of us. Its just a plane ride away. Everything we dreamed of is right there but we cant get our hands on it. The reality of it is that is was us that choose this path driven by love and other motives so it was ourselves that have to endure the journey we began.

My suggestion is to spend your time finding out more about life in the USA; the people here and the many other aspects of life in America rather than concentrating on how long all of this takes.

My own case took a very long 408 days so I know something about waiting and enduring this process. You will succeed its just as matter of how you handle the time now.

THANKS SWEET CAKES,NO HE DOES NOT HAVE TRACKING NUMBER

Can your fiance verify if his check has been cashed?

It can take 30 days for uscis to send out a notification that they have received your application. But if it's been more than 30 days, your fiance can contact the uscis customer hotline: 1-800-375-5283
