Hello all!

I have a really difficult question. I am currently living abroad and will be moving back to the USA without my husband while his Visa is processing. I currently have an offer letter for a job, which will begin on Aug 25th. During the last few years, because of living in Spain, I haven´t earned enough to sponsor my husband on my own; however, due to the trepidation of future problems, we are finding it difficult to attain a co-sponsor. :huh2:

I am therefore curious if my future employment and income (which will be higher than the poverty limit as the NVC shows to be a requirement) will be sufficient to be the sole sponsor for my husband´s Visa? Does anyone have any information about this or anything similar? Could an official offer letter be enough? :help:

I am currently on hold with the NVC, big surprise!, and will also see if they can offer any direction.

Generally current income is what counts, so your promise employment is not going to cut it, but soon after you start the job you should qualify.

You will also need to show tax returns for the last years, even if you were working in Spain.
