Hello Everyone,

My Finance does not speak English. So, her certifying an intent for marriage within 90 day letter has to be translated into English. I am afraid that will be a concern against the finance visa. Also, I am worried about her interview in the future, and if it be held in Arabic, rather than English.

Any assistance will be so helpful!

Thanks and Ramadan Mubarak

The letter of intent can be just in English... you can write it and your fiance can sign it. No need for a letter of intent in a foreign language.

I have read in some posts that the embassies will often perform the interview in the language in which the couple communicates. So, if you are fluent in Arabic and communicate with her in Arabic, there is a high probability they will do the interview in Arabic, with a translator if needed.

Letter of intent in English if she speaks only Arabic is not a good idea. How was she able to read it if she does not speak English? Better to print it in Arabic and get a translation.

To ease your worries about the interview. When my husband was there for his interview, the person at the Consulate who checked in my husband when he arrived asked what language my husband was comfortable to do the interview in. So don't worry. The people that work at the place are fluent in many languages (Arabic, French & English). Best wishes!

And Ramadan Mubarak to you too!
