Hi there everyone! I am hopefully soon going to be starting the K-1 process. I am pretty confident that I have everything covered but the one thing I am worried about is the evidence. We only communicate through whatsapp and skype. Skype is strictly calls. We have only met once in person and do have pictures of course. Will this be sufficient evidence? How much of our conversations will they want to see? I am a bit worried because our relationship has been fairly short compared to most on here it seems but we go together like peas and carrots and we feel like its the right thing to do. Will that have an affect on process as well? Any help would be great! I just dont want to worry if I dont have to.

Which Consulate are you going through?

Havent gotten that far yet. Just been worried about this issue. I am in the US in Massachusetts and she is in London.

UK is pretty easy, I took no evidence of calls, we had met more than once. You will have plenty of time for more trips.

Well Im hopping to send it all in by August and don't think I will be able to make another trip to England. Will the fact that we have only met in person once be an issue?

Yes, London does not ask for or need relationship evidence. The only things you do need to include regarding your relationship are your letters of intent: one from each of you, with a wet signature.

That said, if you must have something for your own reassurance, a handful of pictures can be brought to the interview so that your beneficiary can refer to them during the conversation - though it won't be a dealbreaker if you don't have these. London will be more concerned about the financial support, criminal history and medical history/results.

You will definitely not need copies of Skype or WhatsApp conversations.

Wow this is good news. I am just confused because on travel.state.gov is says (Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)).

Yes, it may. However, in some cases it's not needed, e.g., the beneficiary self-sponsors, which is possible if going through London. Otherwise, complete the I-134 after you've received the NOA2 and send the completed I-134 to your beneficiary with the financial support evidence so that she can present these at the interview.

I think I left out an important piece of information that hopefully wont change things when it comes to this. What happens if she is a citizen from a different country but works and lives in London? It would all still be done through london as in the London K1 Visa - A Complete Guide. Correct?
