DearVJ members,

Actually we have been here for a long time but we couldn't locate our previous account that is why we decided to open a new account, if you read our timeline you will know that we have been on this journey for more 21 months but finally we got our case completed on July 14th,2014 but on the soft copy they sent to us. they wrote this ( We have finished reviewing your case. We will tell you when we set an interview date for your case. Please do not contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in MOSCOW, RUSSIA about your interview until we give you the date.) So my question goes thus : How soon or how many weeks does it actually take them before they can schedule an interview with the American embassy in Moscow?

Thanks

Assuming this email is from NVC and not from the embassy, it sounds like you got a checklist, but they completed your case anyway. You'll need to bring the missing documents or evidence to the interview that they list in that email you got.

Also, NVC has been scheduling about every 2 weeks or so, roughly lined up with the end and middle of each month. Based on your case complete, and the most recent scheduling, I'd expect you to get an interview date for September sometime late next week,

It is possible that they'll try to line this round up with the end of the month and you'd be waiting an extra week to get an interview date, but either way, the interview will likely be in September sometime.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. yeah we got a checklist, they told us that one of our document was missing and they actually got it from us because they could locate part of it but two pages out of the 8 pages of our Affidavit of support form could not be located, so they ask us not to send it to them again but to fill a new one and bring it together with us at the time of the interview. So i guess thats better. Regarding the schedulling of the interview dates. I would like to ask after getting the date for us, are they going to email letting us know the interview date or we must call them? the reason why i ask this is that they have always been sending us email regarding our petition from the on set, so i just want to know if we will need to call or wait for their email. Thanks

They will email the appointment letter within a few days of the scheduling actually happening. You can call and find out before they send the letter, but you don't have to.

For example, I called and got my interview date on a Thursday, but I didn't receive the email until the next Monday.
