translation for degree técnico superior universitario

Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone out there might have a good equivalent description/translation of my husband's Venezuelan education... what he has is called a técnico superior universitario-- but I can't find a good translation... am assuming it's fairly regional?

is a college degree or high school degree? if is a college degree is just a fancy title for his mayor and if is a high school degree could be a bachelor. sorry i don't know if this answer ur question, but the name of the programs depends of the countrie were one study

Thanks for the answers. Yes, I can see that it depends on the country. My husband is Venezuelan. He has a T.S.U. en la Tecnología Recursos Naturales Renovables . On his CV he mentions one year at a technical school, which I think is equivalent to a HS, maybe a vocational one, in US, and four years at a university. At the the technical school he got a Bachiller Industrial, Mención en la Especialidad Dibujo Técnico.

From what I understand this is not a high school degree, nor a complete Bachelor's degree, so I think the equivalent would most likely be to what we consider here in the US an Associate's Degree.
