Name wrong on EAD card

So I received my EAD card in the mail and turns out I filled in the form incorrectly so, so they printed

my middle name in the surname section.

I've called USCIS and the lady said that they've put in a request to see what they will do about the problem

(If anything. She seems to think they may not fix it since my green card may be finished processing before

they can send me a new card)

Was just wondering if you guys think that my name being wrong on the card will cause any problems if

I start looking for a job or apply for my driver license?

You probably would not pass e-Verify due to that error, if your employer happened to run you through it.

Make sure you didn't make the same mistake on your I-485.

damn, I didn't know what e-verify was but my husband says it's something all businesses have?

I still have my i-485 form filled in on my computer and I did it correctly, so unless USCIS make a mistake

then that should be fine.

It's basically a service that lets them electronically check documents you have provided showing you are eligible to work in the US. Given that your names are mismatched I wouldn't expect e-Verify to pass you, if a business ran you through it. It varies from state to state as to whether they must run you through e-Verify. For Idaho it seems to be compulsory only for public jobs, although private businesses can choose to voluntarily use it.
