Hi when does the CO decide to order a DNA test for an IR2 Visa? What circumstances lead to the same? I am the mother to the child and the petitioner is the step father.

If they think the child is not yours- such as if the birth certificate was registered late, or shows someone else as the mom. If you have no connection with the child, it was always brought up by a sister or your parents.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

thanks for the reply, the BC shows my name and the birth was registered immediately after birth, have pictures showing the different stages of growth with her, also brought her up for the better half of her life except for when i moved here to the usa 1.5 yrs ago

I doubt if DNA test will be asked. If it does it will be after the interview they will request tell you to come back for swapping both of you if you are there and proceed.

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
