Hi everybody, so i was going over the i 129 f petition that my fiancee sent. We are waiting for our NOA2. As i was going over our whatsapp conversations that my fiancee sent, i saw a sentence that my fiancee said as " I will work on the marriage." But by marriage, he is referring to fiancee petition. And nowhere in other conversations, we refer to each other as husband or wife. Still do you guys think this " I will work on the marriage" sentence will cause us to get scrutinized or even be rejected by CO thinking we are already married? . We certainly are not. I am going to the interview in Turkey. Am I thinking too much? Please help

You could be thinking too much....hard to say. You may, or may not, be scrutinized for the statement. Not too much you can do at this point other than being prepared to fully and truthfully answer the CO's questions.

Good luck on your visa journey.

You don't have to give them every conversation you've ever had. Pick & choose over a few months...

My fiancé & I call each other husband & wife all the time. We consider ourselves to be married even though we've never signed anything or had a ceremony. It's just our frame of mind with each other. I wouldn't be too concerned.

I am the petitioner.

OP has already submitted that conversation to USCIS.

Someone posted something similar to this a few weeks ago. They called each other husband and wife and they were asked to send in more documents to prove they were not yet married. I don't know the exact documents that were requested or if they had friends and family sign something stating they were not married.

I would try to leave that conversation out of the packet if it was already sent and it was just one sentence then I wouldn't worry about it too much. If they ask then just be honest and tell them you call each other that because you are in your heart already married.

This, especially if English is not the first language. Even if it is, slips of the tongue can still happen in a conversation.

Just be honest if it is queried.

In a high fraud embassy you should never have anything that leads one to think you may be married when you are not. Regular embassies that isn't much of a worry

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I don't think there is much you can do except wait for the NOA2 or an RFE. Sending something now to preempt any queries might actually confuse matters and there's no guarantee that the additional unasked for paperwork will find its way to your casefile. I've read about one case on here where the couple sent additional paperwork to preempt a potential RFE and had the paperwork returned to them with an (impolite) notice that if additional documents are required then they will be requested.

Thanks guys. I just looked at our conversations once again. All I say is, when we get married. A lot of repetitions of when we get married and future potential wife. So, we should be fine. If CO asks, he can see those conversations of when we get married. So, we are OK.

I edited our chat transcripts fairly heavily. I didn't want anything of a deeply private or personal nature in the hands of strangers. I left in only innocuous stuff, that showed we chatted nearly every day. Feel free to edit before sending it.
