Hello all; My husband and I are just beginning this process. We were married Aug. 21, 2013 He and I had to wait a while before we could start the process in order to save money and prepare. I believe I have all of the documents we will be needing. according to NCIS. My husband is in Ghana and I am in South Carolina, America. After we send the initial packet I-130ect. What will we be waiting on to proceed and also the wait times at the Accra Embassy is it really 5mo.? We could really use all the advice everyone has I honestly and exploring new things concerning this procedure. HELP..... AND A POSITIVE DAY TO EVEYONE.

If you're already married, the K-1 is not the process you want to follow.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

They said they're filing the I-130.

I don't know what the interview wait time is at Accra, but you're looking at at least a year before your petition is approved and forwarded there. You should try reading the I-130 forums.
