Should I call NVC about my plan to Adjustment of Status ?

Dear All

I am student in US and I got married few month ago! My wife has green card and recently my I-130 got approved and USCIS sent my documents to NVC as they mentioned in an email.

When I check NVC website it says that if you have plan to adjustment of status in the future (Which is exactly my case, I don't need Visa) NVC will not process your file and USCIS will proceed that and you need to contact NVC about that!

Now I am wondering what should I do!!? does anyone has the same experience which wanted to adjust his/her status? Our case will be processed by USCIS?! What is the next step for me? Whom should I call!?

  • 04/01/2014 Email notification
  • 04/21/2014 NOA2 approved

Center: National Visa Center (NVC)

  • 06/03/2014 Case number, and IIN
  • 04/03/2015 Welcome letter received by email

Adjustment of Status Via USCIS:

  • 10/05/2015 Documents sent (I-485)
  • 24/04/2016 Interview
  • 05/05/2016 Received Green card

What is the priority date of the I-130? Your signature does not appear to be correct (it contains dates from the future).

From another post it seems that your priority date is 28th March 2014. Unfortunately you cannot file for adjustment of status at the moment, because your priority date is not current. F2A (spouses and minor children of permanent residents) is currently at 8th September 2013. You must wait until your priority date becomes current before you can file for AoS or seek an immigrant visa. This could be a few months, or possibly over a year from now.
