I entered as K1 fiance. Got in the US. in may 2012. Got married on july 5th 2012. Applied for my adjust of status on november 2012 and in january 2013 got my work/ travel permit card, it expired on december 2013 and I will have my I-485 biometrics taken in four days, I wonder how long will I have to wait to get my interview? Did you get your I-485 biometrics taken after or before your interview notification? I am very confused. I have had biometrics taken before but those have been for my work/travel permit card not for my green card. Please help.

You are having to do biometrics again? You should have biometrics done for the I-485 and I-765 at the same time, not too long after you first applied.

I am sorry if this has bothered anyone, I did not mean to. I am a member since 2011 or so but this is actually the first time I use this to ask for help. I did want to have my own post but I do not know how to do it. I looked for hrs the options and still do not know how to do it. And yes, the new letter is exactly as the first one I got about getting my work/travel permit but this time, after a year and a half of my AOS application , it says I485 capture of biometrics. Any help? anyone with a similar case? apologies again

You have been waiting a long time for your I-485 to be processed. Perhaps they are wanting new biometrics because of this. Why not call and ask to speak to a tier 2 immigration officer about your case status and ask them why the new biometrics are needed, and if it means you will finally be getting your I-485 processed after waiting so long. I would have checked into it long before now if I were you.
