Where do you find this information? I saw someone said that someone has had their NOA2 and there number isn't far from where they were. What does that mean and where can I find it? Thanks for doing the maths, Im a March filler and seeing this makes things more realistic :)

Hi there, I included the link in my original post.

You can find the data in this link Just click on "Download as raw data" on the left (i've included a screenshot for you)

post-177106-0-04171000-1397905438_thumb.jpg

I would not base your timeline estimate on anyone else, no matter when they filed or where they are from. All files are adjudicated in a different manner.

To be more realistic, I would say you can expect to have your petition approved by August (5 months). Anything before then is a bonus.

Please don't forget that only 9 months ago, the stats for TSC and CSC were in fact 200+ days for petition approval.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.

06-10-2022: Interview letter received via USPS.

That certainly helps to put things in perspective. A lot of people on here forget that not everyone filing a I-129F petition is a contributing member on VJ and get antsy when they don't see approvals on here go as fast as they would like.

To everyone still waiting, I'm thinking of you and crossing fingers for your approvals.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

I know you are wondering how long your NOA2 will take, so for perspective here is some information for you.

USCIS has updated their dashboard and added February 2014 to the data here

As of February 2014 there is a backlog of 6,716 petitions awaiting approval

What does this mean?

There are 6,716 petitions awaiting approval in front of all March and April TSC filers

How many approvals have been made per month?

In December there were 1710 petitions completed

In January there were 1465 petitions completed

Lets do some math!

Total number of petitions completed/approved in Jan + Dec = 3,175

31 days in Jan + 31 days in Dec = 62 days.

Minus any weekend days (there were 17 weekend days in total) = 44

That works out to be an average of 72 petitions approved per day (not including weekends) at TSC alone

Great, now they're just going to whine some more :P

I believe they release this information on the 3rd Friday of every month, sometime in the afternoon. Judging by the current trend, I'm hoping they go on a crazy approval bender either this month or next month just like they did in September.

K-1

I-129F NOA1 => NOA2: 161 days

NOA2 => Interview: 64 days

AP: 33 days

Total: 258 days

AOS

I-485 NOA => GC: 333 days

No Interview

ROC

07/30/2017: Package Sent

08/01/2017: NOA

09/07/2017: Biometrics

12/04/2018: Approved! 490 days

Providing the right info for every VJer at TSC will help us all to see that no matter what month we filed, we're all in the same line!

Guys, I know it's hard, I've cried, I miss my fiancé!

But there is one thing guaranteed that keeps me calm and on track and that is that the NOA2 WILL COME! It's just that I don't know when!

I try not to whine about my wait because I know there are others in front of me from Sept - Dec that deserve an NOA2 before me

Welcome to hurry up and wait. This is just the beginning. Next you wait for the NVC and then you wait for your consulate to interview and then issue the visa.

It is frustrating. I know. This is my third trip through the visa mill. But you just have to hurry up and wait.

So at 6716 petitions and an average of 72 done a day, that's only about 93 days before they get through those and start on newer ones.

That's not bad.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding

But that's not including the already existing waited time for these petitions.

Assuming all 6,716 of these are approved in the next 93 days, so by July lets say.

With that math it means that of the 6716 petitions (which are all Sept - Feb petitions that are backlogged) the total wait time including the next 93 days could be:

Sep filer currently at 7 months waiting: 7 - 10 month total approval time

Oct filer currently at 6 months waiting: 6 - 9 month total approval time

Nov filer currently at 5 months waiting: 5 - 8 month total approval time

Dec filer currently at 4 months waiting: 4 - 7 month total approval time

Jan filer currently at 3 months waiting: 3 - 6 month total approval time

Feb filer currently at 2 months waiting: 2 - 5 month total approval time

Does that still seem not bad?

the 93 days also does not include weekends. if you include weekends in the calculation it works out to be about 130 days.
