Visiting US under VWP for 85 days. Any Medical Insurance Options?

Topic pretty much says it all. Visiting while my K1 is pending under VWP and I will be staying for almost the entire 90 days. (85 days to be exact).

Any recomendations to make sure I get some basic health coverage while I'm there?

You would have to have travelers insurance

I agree - travelers insurance which you should be able to get in your home country prior to departure.

Would that cover medical expenses while I am in the states though?

I thought traveler's insurance was more for lost bags?

I've always found price comparison websites to be the best. You enter the level of cover you want and how much excess you are willing to pay then it gives you a series of quotes from all the insurers. For the length of time you are going it might work out cheaper to get annual multi trip insurance rather than a single trip, it did for me.

Well, and considering that there will be another trip under the actual K1, it may be best to cover both trips in one shot.

Bearing in mind the number of Kiwis who travel I am surprised that the local media is not inundated with Travel Insurance sources.

K1 you will be immigrating.

Annual policies have inner trip duration limits.
