Whats happening wid the Nvc....anybody who has been issued with the case number lately??

Service Center (which your I-130 was approved from)

NOA2 date-6th Jan (TSC)

Date NVC received your case -28th Jan

Date case number was assigned-14th March

Date AOS package was sent out-18th March

Date IV package was sent out

Date DS-260 was completed

September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

Got my case no on this week after waiting for almost 42days.

Wow. That's crazy. It's been over a month and my case still hasn't reached NVC. Glad to know I can expect the same kind of waiting just to get the number

The unpleasant truth is that it can take up to 8 weeks to get your NVC number. The most annoying about it is that you have to call them every day, hang on the phone for 30 min in order to get the same ignorant response: "Well, you know it takes at about 8 weeks......" So it's a waiting game..... again. The second upgraded level of waiting.

Not really ... not 8 weeks

And you don't have to call for the first 30 days after the receipt.

Its taking about 39 days if you look at those who were received in February.
