Filing Medical with Adjustment of Status, but sending it at a later date?

Does anyone have any experience with this? Filing the adjustment of status and then sending in the medical certificate at a later time? Is this even advisable? A friend of mine is wondering if this can be done. She was told that it can be, but I'm advising her not to, because USCIS, tends to lose stuff every so often, and i'd rather everything filed together.

Can anyone please shed some light on this? Thanks much!!

It can be done this way, your friend will just receive an RFE for the I-693. That will, however, delay their case.

This.

Your friend can send it later, but he/she will receive a Request for Evidence ... which would involve them going through the application, finding that the I-693 is missing, sending the RFE, waiting for your friend to send the I-693, them receiving it and then eventually reviewing it and then move the application along.

TL;DR: It delays the process.
