Anyone see the new website?
They have very good info there now. It looks like you can apply online now for interview date. Only 10 dollars now vs 18 dollars. A very nice simple lay out for people going to interview. http://manila.usembassy.gov/NIV_Process_English.pdf Dang wish they had this before. |

That website does not apply to anyone here, unless you are interested in a tourist, or a work related visa. K-1 and K-3 visas are processed in the Immigrant Visa section, not the Non-Immigrant Visa section that your post describes. -------------------- Never pick a fight with people who buy ink by the barrel. Hmm i thought k1 and k3 were nonimmigrant visa.... Interesting. I didnt read through it because it didnt apply to me anyway as we are going for CR-1.
On edit i found the answer on the site. here it is...I wasnt doubting, But this is what it says. K & V VISAS Fiancé(e) of a U.S. Citizen (K-1), child of K-1 (K-2), spouse of a U.S. Citizen (K-3), child of K-3 (K-4), spouse of legal permanent resident (V-1), child of legal permanent resident/child principal/L.I.F.E. Act (V-2), and derivative child of V-1 and V-2 (V-3) visas are classified as nonimmigrant visas. However, applications for such visas are processed and issued only at immigrant visa issuing posts, which cover the consular district, unless the post has been specifically authorized to process K visas. The Nonimmigrant Visa Unit in Manila is NOT authorized to process or respond to inquiries on K and V visas. The Immigrant Visa Unit processes these visa applications. I guess that is why I thought it was good. Even though it might not be related to non-immigration isn't tha the same way they call you though? It could be helpfull in that way right? I am looking for ways to help my fiance since she is shy to come on here. Ii have to find spicific things for her to look at. I guess i jumped at the thought this could help. robert |
