i called uscis today to ask exactly what i needed to do to submit my fiances new address and they were freakin' ridiculous. i just can't believe that they do what they do. seems like they shouldn't even answer the phone! i was wanting to see if anybody could direct me on what exactly i need to put on the outside of the envelope that i'm sending to vsc. thanks

USCIS doesn't care what your beneficiary's address is, really. Wait until it ships to the National Visa Center, then call them up to have them make the change over the phone. This is what I did, and it worked fine.

  • 4-07-2009: NOA1
  • 7-20-2009: NOA2
  • 7-29-2009: NVC in
  • 9-01-2009: NVC out
  • 9-03-2009: London In
  • 9-14-2009: P3 issued (per DOS)
  • 9-23-2009: P3 sent to London (no letter received)
  • 9-24-2009: P3 arrived at the embassy (Royal Mail receipt)
  • 10-1-2009: London has logged in our P3 documents
  • 10-3-2009: Interview date received! (via DOS)
  • 10-5-2009: Medical completed
  • 10-21-2009: Ian's Interview! Approved! YAY!
  • 10-27-2009: Visa is received!
  • 11-1-2009: POE, Minneapolis
  • 11-16-2009: Applied for SSN (not found in system yet..ergh) Waiting for letter from SSA office regarding success or failure of application. (grr)
