Hi guys! I'd like some advice on what to do with my birth certificate. My birth certificate from NSO is so blurry it's so impossible to read it. When I applied for my passport, what I did was to just ask a copy of my birth certificate from the place where I was born and had it authenticated by NSO. I wonder if US embassy will accept the NSO issued birth cert with the authenticated birth cert from LCR attached to it. There were no incorrect information in my birth certificate though. Help!

I would just submit both...the one on NSO paper and then the one with the authentication letter. I think they are pretty clear that they want the one on the NSO paper, but since you cant read yours, that is ok.

You dont have to submit the original with the petition though. I know our marriage certificate is a little hard to read, but once you do a photocopy of it, then it is easier to read.

you're doing the right thing. bring the NSO-issued BC as required by USEM and bring an authenticated BC from your local registrar to confirm what's on the NSO-issued BC. makes photocppies of each too
