Dear All,

My question today is whether the fiance's child's documents (birth certificate, any other?) are required to be submitted with the Petition itself. Reason I'm asking is I haven't seen that mentioned on the Form I-129f instructions. Thanks to all the responders in advance!

No.

If she is your fiancee (not your wife) she is a K-1 and the child is a K-2 (not K3/ K4, which is for a married couple)

No birth certificates of foreign beneficiaries are required with the petition. The only thing you need to do for a K-2 at this point is be sure to list ALL childrens names on the I-129f whether they intend to immigrate with your fiancee or not.

The rest comes later. BE AWARE, K-2s are separate visas. They need separate applications, separate medical exams, separate visa fees, separate AOS fees, it is the K-1 x (number of children). At the interview, you will need all the same documents, translations, etc. For the AOS each will have a separate I-485, separate affidavits of support, they all count in family size and for financial qualifications. I only say this as you are early in the process and now is the best time to start planning such things if you need to.

Furthermore, does a separate DS 156 need to be filled out for the child as well?

The next step, after listing them on the petition, occurs at the interview and application at the consulate. Yes, separate DS-156, medical exam, birth certificate, police certificate if over age 16, visa fee, EVERYTHING needed for the K-1 will be repeated for each child. Separate I-134 affidavit of support also.

There is only one petition ,one NVC case number, but a separate application for each at the consulate

Petition = what the US citizen does to initiate the process, you are doing that now. Your fiancee and all her children need to be listed on the petition (I-129f) An approved petition (an approved petition is not an approved visa) allows your fiancee and her children to apply for visas

Application = what your fiancee and her children do at the consulate based upon an approved petition filed by you, the USC.

The application for each applicant (fiancee and children) occurs at the consulate level. The exact forms needed for each person will depend somewhat on the consulate and you don't tell us that (fill that part in on you profile and you can get better answers). But the forms needed wqill be the same for each applicant (except children do not use DS-156K)

It's not mentioned because it isn't required!

Only place is one part on the I-129F where you list the name. #13

There are no other documents or petitions required. That info you list is required, plus more, at the interview. Read the Guides.
