Your question is: will the K1 be denied because of the prior K1 my partner had? Answer: Most likely not but no one can tell you YES or NO either way because we are not the CO adjudicating the case. The side note is: if it is denied you’ll have to go with the spousal. so, if you’re worried about denial GET MARRIED and then you got some extra (unwanted) advice on why spousal is better. It seems like you’ve already made up your mind and are going with K1 even if you’re told this second K1 would be denied 100% so not sure why you asked the question. Anyway, I’ve said all I can and don’t feel I can contribute further. I truly wish you good luck, a speedy process with no issues and a seamless transition to the US. And SA is amazing I’m sad you have no desire to move to my country.

Good for you but what about the rest of the population in the US? I’m a qualified ultrasound technician and I couldn’t find work for 4/5 months so what makes it that easy? I’m asking this because everyone is missing the point of my question and rather raising the topic of a CR1 when I stated that I don’t want to wait for another year or more when I know the stress it will bring K1 or CR1 inevitably it’s still my choice to make and like I said before my marriage to him will be invalid if the cultural way is not respected

As per my post history, we are preparing our I-751 evidence. We have a lot of solid evidence - basically everything except for kids (got non) and shared assets (no house of our own). We printed out our mobile bills as one of the utilities which prove the address AND shows mine and spouse's mobile number under the same account. The idea was also to show we called each other. Now, it seems like it's kind of an overkill, we have around 150 pages of just the mobile bills. Even our bank / credit card statements aren't that big. Do we actually need to send all of that?

Just expect a year. It might take more or less but there is no accurate way to predict.

Hello everyone! I had just submitted the eCRBA form online for my newborn son and paid the $100 fee along with scheduling the appointment at the US consulate in Porto Alegre Brazil. My understanding is that I should also complete the DS-11 form for my newborn before attending the appointment. Any tips for things to expect or bring before interview at the US consulate? Are there any tips on filling out the DS-11 for newborn CRBA? Do I need to apply for his social security? I just received his birth certificate from the Brazilian government but how do I translate it to English as required in page 2 Section D under "Claiming Citizenship through Birth Abroad to At Least One U.S. Citizen Parent"? To vote (as an answer) is a little too simple… work with your wife on the why… why does she want to vote? If she had given a more full answer first time the follow up question most likely wouldn’t have been asked… this is why going to citizenship classes will be advantageous.it will help her with giving and practicing great answers.

Hello everyone, has anyone had any experience with Dr. Zatzman? How are the results typically sent or provided? Are they sent directly to the embassy, and what is the usual timeframe for this process? My interview is scheduled for May 23rd, and my medical appointment is on May 6th. Will there be sufficient time for the results to reach the embassy?

Right… love will win in the end BUT - you’re worried about the K1 being denied and if it is… you’ll have no choice but to go with the spousal. Which will add time to the ability for him to come over. Seems like you’re confident that is no longer a concern. So, you are clearly doing what you believe is best for your relationship. i hear YOUR feelings and YOUR voice in all of this though not your partner- the beneficiary- so just confirm that he is okay with the possibility of not working for a year. I’m being sincere in saying that because he is the one that has gone through the K1 before. So, just make sure the reasons he went back to SA was purely relationship reasons and not because of the process… and also make sure when he goes to the interview he reiterates that he is serious about marriage because he wrote a statement promising the US government he was going to get married when he entered the US but he didn’t.. so why should they believe that he will get married this time? Again- I think you’ll be fine. But if you’re worried about the K1 being denied. Going with the spousal visa first time is the quickest way to get him to the States because you’re showing your partner is serious about being with you… I found work after 2 weeks of being in the country… 🤷

MY wife would probably divorce me if i asked her to cancel this trip that she has been wanting to go on for years and its our anniversary and everything is already paid for and literally all our family is going already so cancelling is not an option. LOL I am not in a rush I know the IO said to just reschedule people do it all the time if they have to travel she said its pretty common but if i could get a passport in a few days and pay a hundred bucks or two i don't mind just to be done with it. Nah but I see they are doing it within 30-45 days which would push me right at the edge.

Also his a body modification Artist,and yes I’m full aware that he can’t work right away but how else did all those people that got approved make it at the end? with employment being so low as the United States as a whole does any one really think it’s that easy to even find work even if granted authority to work legally? So yeah I don’t think I have to worry to much because the work he does is in the beauty and body industry therefore makes it easier to find work than a normal job. thats just my take

After a long wait I received the following email from Montreal which seems very inconclusive to me. My I-601 was approved almost a year ago. I called the doctor’s office to book for my medical and they informed me that they need a file number to upload the results which was not provided to me by the consulate. Consulate also requested me to send the passport but provided no information as to where to send it. Please let me know if anyone else has received the same corespondent from Montreal Consulate and what was outcome. Thank you very much!

I get everyone’s concerns but this really also depends on the state and consulate he goes to it’s not about the money it’s about me and him and the choice to take the k1 route because I’d like him to be here faster than waiting a year + on a cr1 it’s just my preference and it’s a choice I’m making so that I don’t have to be without my fiancé I’d like my family to be part of our our engagement ceremony’s as I’m Native American,and culture needs to be respected so that’s why I’m not going to just marry on a cr1 because it’s cheaper.id rather spend 3000$ on all this than suffer a whole year to not see him and unfortunately his work doesn’t permit him to be out the country as often as normal,we’ve tried to get him here in a B2 tourist and got denied 🙅‍♀️ unfortunately not easy but easy for me to see him every 4 months as I can afford it so yeah love wins at the end

Hi all, quick question: I went to schedule the interview appointment for the K1 visa and it just says 'No appointments available'. Ive been checking back about 4 times per day for the past 2 weeks and no change. Is this normal? Any tips of advice here? all the embassy support said was to just keep checking but if you check too much, your account gets locked. Anyone in the same position with any info? Thanks!

Yes I meant AGI, ok yes just read the instructions again very slow... So Total Income from the previous year is what I will use on the current income (it's almost same number as AGI) And for previous years per the i-864.. it says submit your AGI for the three years. And in addition to IRS transcripts, will attach all the different 1040s (1040, schedule 1, 2, Schedule-D) for those years as well. Which will have all my trades from those years establishing custody of those assets. Then for asset proofs.. I will submit as much proof as I can that I own the crypto.. (bank withdrawals and deposits from crypto exchanges, crypto wallet transfers screenshots) Thanks for your time and help
