This is a company the embassy has outsourced customer service to. They do not have a clue and depend on a once a month update from the embassy. Be prepared for misinformation and disappointment.

Approx Waiting Time for interview date from when the Consulate receives the package from the NVC: Once NVC forwards package to Embassy, they will sit on it for a month before sending packet 3 out by regular mail. Regular El Salvadorean mail can take almost another month for delivery to your fiance. You have one year from the date packet 3 is delivered before the Embassy begins the termination process on your petition. Pack is supposed to arrive to US fiancé(e) too.

Issues a Packet 4? Yes
Packet 4 contents (if known): Confirmation Letter (2 pages)

First page has: Basic Fiancee info and case number.

Second page has: Date and time of interview.
Phone number to call if you need to change interview date.
Letter must be taken to interview or you will not be admitted.

Packet 4 may never be delivered to fiance and only to petitioner in the States. Petitioner will need to send packet 4 to fiance by Fedex, UPS, or scan the pages and send to fiance by email.

2.DS-230 part 1 IF you have live outside country 6 or more months after the 16 bday

If not whats the waiting period? Consular official says one week, but that is not true. It usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. Do not make any travel arrangements based on what the embassy says. Wait until you have visa and passport returned by embassy.

Centro de Especialidades Médicas, 4a Avenida Norte 3-8 Frente a Policlinica Casa de Salud. Santa Tecla 2228-1184
appointment is needed but it's usually for the next day and once you see the doctor it's very fast, unlike the other doctor's offices. He then sends you to get the x-rays and blood tests at:

Horario: 08:00-12:00 am y 2:00-5:00 pm lunes a viernes
both offices are in the same building, so, it's very convenient.

Estimated waiting time at the consulate on the day of interview? Applicants are assigned interviews by time groups. Interviews start at 7:30am folowed by interviews every half hour after that. Waiting time from the time you enter the consulate is approx 5 hours. There are two appointment lines in the waiting area outside the consulate. One is for residency applicants, the other for tourist visas. K-1 applicants should use the Residency line.
Vaccination requirements? NO son necesarios para la visa K1; pero SI se requieren para AOS (adjustment of Status: para residencia); llevar los comprobantes de las vacunas
Cheap and good hotels near the Consulate?
Additional Info? The Visa Information Center number 866-730-2089, is frustrating so be prepared. They can also reschedule your appointment once you have one and can update your Fiance/e's info. It costs approx $7 USD for this call. Es el mismo lugar mencionado arriba

American Citizen Services at the Embassy in El Salvador can also be contacted via Email or fax, but they will be of no help. They will refer you to the Visa Service Center, an outsourced company in Mexico that does not have a clue. Be prepared for misinformation. Aunque la mayor parte del tiempo lo que hacen es remitir al Centro de Informacion de Visas.
